  1. All birds have a backbone and have lungs to breathe. They are only mammals with feathers.
  2. Amazingly ninety percent of all species that have become extinct have been birds.
  3. Birds do not have sweat glands, so their bodies cannot cool down through perspiration. Their bodies cool by flight or, when at rest, panting.
